TEFL in Bolivia

Considering that Bolivia is one of the least developed countries in South America, a lot of volunteer work can be found in the country. In the country people generally view learning English to be advantageous and man are keen to learn. Paid work opportunities are available in the country but the wages are low so for those looking to earn well and save money Bolivia isn’t the country for you.
The lack of tourist industry makes Bolivia a particularly interesting place to live in for the serious traveller. Western tastes are not necessarily catered for so you have the opportunity to immerse yourself in a different culture which is very traditional and different from your own.
La Paz, the capital, is the highest capital city in the world and some visitors can find that getting used to the altitude can take a while. In terms of climate, Bolivia experiences two seasons – summer, ranging from November to March which is humid and warm, and winter which ranges from May to September. Bolivians are friendly people and getting to know them and building up relationships will open up opportunities for you to experience festivals and parties which many find to be the highlight of their trip!
