New user Posts: 2 | Hi Rebeca, I would just like to thank you for the course over the weekend, very impressive. I must admit I approached the course with a little cynicism and had to eat ‘humble pie’ all weekend. Your professionalism, knowledge base and enthusiasm was a pleasure. To the rest of you ‘guys’ also thanks, I enjoyed ( that’s ‘ed‘ and we all know what that means) your company and warmth (I hope I’m not over doing it). Incidentally, if anyone is going to teach the little ones I have many (well, hundreds) of Key Stage 1 and 2 colour books for the children and a number of teachers resource packs. The teachers resource packs cover Literacy, Numeracy, Science, Design and Technology, ICT, History (the good old timeline) and Physical Education. I used them when a ’A Helicopter came to school’ http://www.dragonhelicopters.co.uk/school.html basically I flew a helicopter into the school play ground (with of course, all the health and safety issues covered, Viv will be please to hear) and then gave the little ones a lesson on flight, from birds to aircraft. I used props and made it very interactive. Anyway, the books also have lot of classroom based activities. It would be a pity for them just to ‘gather dust’. The school book was given to each child, which covers The history of the helicopter, V22 Osprey, What can helicopters do? The parts of a helicopter, Inside a helicopter, How helicopters work, Military helicopters, Rescue helicopters, Flying for business and pleasure, Helicopter safety, My job, Can you manoeuvre a helicopter (being a ground marshaled, great fun). Morse code, Making your own morse code key, Playing with air pressure, Sycamore spinner and flying tops, Make your own Wind Sock, Helicopter crossword and word games, Did you know? Helicopter I-spy, spot the difference and join the dots. Anyway, once again I enjoyed your friendship and I hope you all end up where you want to be. Warm Regards Bob Alexander bob850@btinternet.com

New user Posts: 2 | A footnote: A Spanish pilot friend of mine has emailed me a number of opportunities in Valencia. They are paying 12 - 18 Euros per hour, which isn’t a fortune, however it’s 2K per month. I’m sure that my friend and his wife will be able to help with accommodation and assist. They want 10 teachers now! Bob
