Honduras is a beautiful country, offering clear blue waters, unspoiled beaches, lush jungles and stunning mountains. These positions are at a school situated on a coffee farm, about two hours outside the Honduran capital of Tegucigalpa. This is perfect for those who really want to get back to basics; the site is extremely remote and without luxuries. Solar and wind power is used to generate electricity and to purify water. This rustic and isolated location has two distinct benefits. Firstly, this is an extremely safe and peaceful area, due to the remote location of the campus. Secondly, the climate is not too extreme; day temperatures range between 18 and 29° Celsius with mild nights. Generally, the dry season runs from January through May, with the rainiest months from June through to October.
