The online 30-hour Grammar and Language Awareness course has been developed to give you a thorough grounding in the grammar terminology and rules you will need as a first-time teacher.
When we started teaching, like you, we could speak the grammar, but were not overly familiar with the terms and rules. So, we have put together everything we found we needed to know in our first few years of teaching.
The course is completely online and can be taken from any computer in your own time. The course consists of a series of lessons followed by activities to test your learning.
About the course
The course is made up of 4 units: covering nouns, verbs, describing speech and sentences.
You will be looking at tenses, conditionals, auxiliaries and modals to name but a few.
Each of the four areas are broken up into manageable lessons and activities that you work through at your own pace.
You have 6 months to complete the course, so it is ideal to work through while you are waiting to go on your weekend/weekday TEFL course or while you are doing your online TEFL course. You will also receive a certificate showing that you have completed 30 hours of grammar and language awareness study.
