Teaching Positions in Ecuador
This position has an immediate start - December 2010
The position in Ecuador includes a 5 day week with Saturday rotation, working for 6+ hours a day. You will receive a wage of $4 an hour.
The schools you may be teaching in are situated in Loja, the capital of Ecuador which holds around 1000 students, and two smaller schools in Machala and Cuenca with only 100/150 students.
All students are divided by age and level. Learners who are under 18 receive 1 hour of lessons daily and this will last for 5 months. Adults over 18 will receive 2 hours of lessons Monday-Friday lasting for two and a half months.
The school has recently been approved as Cambridge University Exam and Preparation Centre meaning the teachers will have to opportunity to add additional hours of teaching.
Your contract will also include teaching conversation classes at the UTPL, one of the best universities in Ecuador. These lessons may include watching a movie, playing a game in English, helping with homework or just plain chatting.
If you commit to a one year's contract in Ecuador your visa will be secured and paid for by the school there.
