TEFL Jobs in Africa
Africa is probably the least developed market for TEFL among the continents, but there are still great opportunities to be had. Africa is also perhaps a location where the greatest difference can be made through your teaching.
The countries of North Africa - Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and Libya - usually offer the most vacancies, particularly in tourist areas and in major cities for students hoping to study abroad.
Demand for English teachers is high in many other countries, though they often lack the infrastructure and resources of large language school organisations. Several countries, such as Ethiopia and Rwanda are hiring English teachers in order to complete in the global business market and, with persistence, it is certainly possible to find a school that could suit you.
TEFL Volunteering is a popular option in Africa with many different schemes and projects available across the continent.
