TEFL Jobs in Japan
We are currently recruiting TEFL teachers for
one of the largest providers of English teaching in Japan. These TEFL jobs involve working in private language schools, teaching English to children aged 2 to 15. They offer lots of teaching resources, as well as two weeks additional training in the company teaching method on arrival in Japan and a departure guide before you head east. These schools are looking for teachers with enthusiasm, an encouraging manner and good communication skills, who can teach fun and interactive lessons.
Positions are available all over Japan, with schools in 46 out of 47 prefectures and you can apply at any time during the year.
Teach English in Japan– Private language schools
- Have been brought up in an English speaking country
- University degree (for visas)
- 20-hour TEFL England Certificate
Contracts: Contracts are between 12 and 13 months. 5 day working weeks are normal, but this may occasionally shift (for example 6 days one week and 4 days the next). Flexibility with work schedules is valued. Lessons usually take place in afternoons and evenings. Classes are one hour long, with most teachers taking 3 or 4 lessons each day.
Accommodation: Single occupancy company apartments are available, with rent deducted from the monthly salary. These come with TV, washing machine, air-conditioning, kitchen appliances, tableware, etc.
Salary: 250,000 yen per month, with a yearly bonus of up to 80,000 yen based on work performance
Holiday: Minimum of ten days paid holiday
Medical insurance: 50% subsidy
Other benefits: Commuting expenses reimbursed between home and workplace.
