TEFL jobs in Thailand
Thailand offers a unique and exciting teaching English experience.
Positions are in schools ranging from the exotic North to the beautiful South. We have jobs available in Khung Wiman which must lay claim to having the most beautiful beach in Thailand and as far away as Nan which lies 320 km East of Chiang Mai.
The positions we have are open to anyone who has completed a minimum of a TEFL England 100 hour course. A degree is not necessary.
The salary is about 30,000 baht per month depending upon the school - and most Thai teachers make about 8,000 baht per month! - so you will have plenty of money to live well and travel extensively on long weekends and in the 3 non-teaching months (October, March, and April).
Overview of the position
You will be teaching, more likely than not, at a state secondary school, working 20 to 22 hours, with 6 weeks holiday and earning around 30,000 baht which as already stated is quite a lot by Thai standards. The school and/or our partner company in Thailand will find you a place to live - sometimes the schools have their own apartments or apartment buildings for rent.
The school will want you to be there by 8 a.m. until about 3:30 p.m. But the school will want you to be available to answer a guestion or two, help with a student drama or just to bond with the Thai teachers.
Where are the placements?
All over Thailand but they are limited so get in quickly if you're interested! From Chonburi to to Saraburi and Nan to Nakorn Nayok there are schools looking for teachers!
How long are the placements for?
Your contract would be for 10 months.
Teaching Hours
You would work a minimum of 18 hours and a maximum of 22 hours. It all depends upon where you work.
What is the pay like?
Around 30,000 baht which is a good local salary.
How do I apply?
When you have completed your TEFL course with TEFL England, you can then apply for the positions by getting in touch with the TEFL England team.
This is a free service offered by TEFL England.
