TEFL Tutor Amy
Meet Amy - one of the tutors who run our accredited TEFL courses in the UK. All of our tutors are highly qualified and have at least three years of TEFL experience abroad, meaning they know exactly what's it like to start a new career teaching English abroad.
Hi, I'm Amy and I'm from Bristol. I'm 29 and I've been teaching English for the last 6 years, since I left university. I originally chose to go into TEFL because of my love of travelling and meeting people from all over the world. Shortly after starting teaching I knew that this was the career I wanted. I get a buzz every time I'm in the classroom. It's a great feeling seeing students having fun and learning at the same time. The vast majority of the students I have taught have been extremely motivated to learn, making it a pleasant experience for both them and me.
I've taught in Spain, South Korea and England. My experience has involved teaching a wide range of nationalities, ages, levels and subjects. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of my TEFL experiences and grown a lot as a teacher and a person. I hope to not only pass on the skills and experience I have gained, but also the love of the job!
As I have said, travelling is something I really love. Aside from the places I have taught, I've travelled extensively (mostly with the money I made during my 3 years in Korea!), backpacking around most of South and Central America and Asia. If you want to see the world, TEFL is the profession for you!
