Which Course?

TEFL is like any profession, it has its own system of qualifications and certification. Here is, we hope, a simplification of the different courses you can do.

TEFL England provides TEFL qualifications for the first-time teacher and all of the courses we offer will find you paid teaching Engish work abroad. The general rule of thumb is that the more you study, the more confident and prepared you will feel and the more competitive you will be in the TEFL job market.

20-hour weekend & 30-hour weekday TEFL courses

These are our most popular courses, most choose this course along with an online component, for a blended learning experience of the classroom and self-study.

The weekend & weekday courses bring to life the methodology and practice of English language teaching and is recommended for those without teaching experience.

The weekday courses includes everything that the weekend course does, but also one further teaching practice and the Teaching Young Learner module. Generally the weekday course is for those who prefer their learning spread over 3 days or don't have a weekend to spare.

50-hour online TEFL course

This course goes into methodology and theory into greater depths, while taking a look at the practical elements of teaching through the use of video. You are also guided through the course by your personal tutor, enabling you to cover the topics at a pace that suits you, in fact you have up to 6 months to complete the course.

Most people who take this course by itself either simply prefer online learning or don't have the time for a weekend/weekday course. Others take this course to support and consolidate what they have learnt on the weekend/weekday TEFL course.

30-hour online grammar course

This is recommended for all first-time teachers unless you are comfortable with terms like present participle, passive voice and the past perfect.

You have 6 months to complete the course, so it is ideal to be working on while you are waiting to go on your weekend/weekday TEFL course or while you are doing your online TEFL course.

Taking more than one course

You can book any or all of the above courses. If you book your desired courses at the same time, then you can save up to £60. Plus, you will receive a certificate for every course you take, giving you up to 110 hours of certificated TEFL learning.
